Our dedicated wellbeing team supports employee health and wellbeing across the full spectrum of health services, while our health and wellbeing program strengthens our focus on supporting our people by providing end-to-end services to suit individualised needs.
MinRes services span physical and mental wellbeing, injury prevention and management, and lifestyle and social wellbeing.
Mental health
MinRes considers mental health as important as physical health and critical to employee engagement and productivity.
With over 80% of our employees working remotely across our operational sites, our people and their families may face challenges to their mental health.
Our Mental Health Framework helps guide MinRes' vision to be a recognised employer of choice, prioritising positive mental health and wellbeing alongside physical health and safety.
The development of MinRes’ mental health strategy, programs and initiatives is guided by our mental health services team who are known as the Mind Matters team. This team oversee’s an industry first in-house education model, and an onsite counselling team, as well as access to an Employee Assistance Program providing confidential professional counselling and support to employees and their families.
As the most recent addition to a growing Wellbeing team, our new Mind Matters Team includes clinical psychologists, educators, and counsellors at MinRes headquarters, counsellors at MinRes operating sites and roving counsellors for CSI client sites.
Health and Wellbeing Advisors
MinRes' dedicated onsite Health & Wellbeing Advisors are responsible for a broad range of health focussed initiatives to support, maintain and improve employee health and wellbeing. MinRes' program covers physical and mental wellbeing, injury prevention and management, and lifestyle and social wellbeing.
Health Centres
We have established two state-of-the-art medical centres at our Perth headquarters providing comprehensive healthcare services that support our employees' wellbeing from the moment they join our company until they retire.
Occupational Health Centre
The Occupational Health Centre is a specialised facility dedicated to conducting pre-employment and health-surveillance medical assessments, ensuring the health and safety of our workforce. Our services are designed to support employees throughout their careers, from hire to retire, and include:
- spirometry and audiometry testing
- drug and alcohol screening
- functional capacity assessments
- pre-employment medicals
- health monitoring assessments
- exit medicals.
GP and Wellness Centre
The GP and Wellness Centre provides a comprehensive general practice service, ensuring high-quality medical care is readily available within the workplace offering a wide range of services, including:
- appointments for everyday health issues
- assessment and management of acute and chronic health conditions
- ordering pathology and radiology tests
- arranging referrals to specialist doctors
- developing mental health care plans
- providing new and repeat prescriptions
- administering vaccinations
- giving advice on preventative health practices.
The GP and Wellness Centre operates as a bulk-billed service, providing essential healthcare services at no cost to our employees. The service is available to all employees, at head office and from all our sites.
Next Level Gym
The MinRes gym at our headquarters is available to all staff and their partners, six days a week for only $5 a week membership.
Members can access industry-leading equipment, daily classes and personal training to support all fitness levels and goals. These include sports specific, pregnancy, general, first timers and working around injuries. The diverse offering ensures there is something for the whole workforce and has been paramount in the success in retaining our employees in the gym.
By providing a convenient on-site facility, employees are more likely to incorporate regular exercise into their daily routines, leading to improved physical health, reduced stress and higher energy levels.
