Transport and logistics
CSI Mining Services operates and manages all stages of the mine-to-port supply chain.
Supply chain services
MinRes operates one of the largest and most diverse mobile equipment fleets in the southern hemisphere, including a growing fleet of industry-leading 330-tonne road trains, rail locomotives and wagons and transhippers.
Product mined is exported through three ports in Western Australia – the Port of Ashburton, Utah Point at the Port of Port Hedland in the Pilbara region and the Port of Esperance in the Great Southern region.
Road haulage services
CSI is one of the largest bulk road haulage carriers in Australia, with a focus on safety, innovation and emissions reduction.
We provide road haulage services for MinRes and tier one mining companies.
Our fleet include custom-built C509 Kenworth prime movers. The single-engine road trains are the biggest in the world and can each haul up to 440 tonnes of iron ore.
Autonomous road trains
In a world first, autonomous road trains will transport ore for our Onslow Iron project.
MinRes has partnered with world-leading autonomy specialist Hexagon to deliver the autonomous technology.
This innovative transport solution will be a game changer in the resources industry and enhance road safety, increase operational efficiencies and reduce emissions.
Transhipping
MinRes is establishing one of the largest and most sophisticated transhipping operations in Australia.
Enclosed and self-discharging transhippers have been commissioned for our Onslow Iron project, each capable of transporting 20,000 tonnes.
Vessels incorporate an innovative articulated tug and barge arrangement, linking the tug to the barge to form a transhipper.
