Yilgarn Hub
The Yilgarn Hub is located in the Goldfields region and includes the Koolyanobbing, Parker Range, Carina and Windarling mine sites. Ore is transported by rail and exported through the Port of Esperance.
Future of Yilgarn operations
In June 2024, MinRes announced that after carefully considering all options, the continuity of the Yilgarn operations is not financially viable beyond the end of the 2024 calendar year.
Operations will safely ramp down in a staged approach, with up to four million wet metric tonnes expected to be shipped by the end of 2024. Mining operations will then transition into care and maintenance from early 2025.
Koolyanobbing
Located around 50km north east of Southern Cross, Koolyanobbing is our largest mine in the region.
The site produces both lumps and fines products, operating across its A to K pit mining areas and including a processing plant, stockyard and train load-out facility.
Parker Range
Parker Range is located 90km south of Koolyanobbing. Mining operations commenced in 2021, making Parker Range our newest mine in the Yilgarn region.
Carina
Carina is located 88km east of Koolyanobbing. The site operates a processing plant, stockyard and train load-out facility.
Windarling
Windarling is located around 100km north of Koolyanobbing, with mining across two active pits.
The Jackson Ranges are located 65km north west of Koolyanobbing with single-pit mining activity.
The Deception mining area is located 110km north of Koolyanobbing with a single pit being actively mined.
