Founded by Buurabalayji Thalanyji Aboriginal Corporation (BTAC)with the support of MinRes, Irdiyamarnu Tyres Services has signed an agreement for the provision of essential tyre fitting services for MinRes operations, initially focused on supporting Onslow Iron operations.
Irdiyamarnu Tyres Services Director Frances Hayes said the partnership is transformative for the business and the broader Thalanyji community and reflects the strong and enduring relationship between BTAC and MinRes.
"Through this partnership, Irdiyamarnu Tyres Services will play a crucial role maintaining the Onslow Iron project, ensuring tyres are on the road," Frances said.

“This partnership with MinRes provides us with the support needed to expand our commercial operations and offer more employment opportunities and skills development programs for our people, empowering them to create a better future for themselves.”
MinRes will work closely with Irdiyamarnu Tyres Services to provide a designated area at the MinRes logistics facility along with a tyre fitter to assist with setting up the business during the incubation period.

As Onslow Iron progresses its ramp-up to 35 million tonnes per annum, local businesses such as Irdiyamarnu Tyres Services maintain a role in the project’s success.
