A member of the Stolen Generation, Doris lost her connection to country after being sent to a mission as a child. It meant this Thudgari elder was prevented from speaking her language and deprived of being on country and learning from her elders. Today, she is reconnected to her country and is focused on supporting and guiding a new generation to connect to country and culture without the restrictions or barriers she once faced.
