Mt Marion Lithium - Mine Plant Project
Reed Industrial Minerals

The Mt Marion Lithium Mineand Plant Project is located in the Coolgardie region of Western Australia, approximately 30km south of Coolgardie, and is being completed by CSI Construction on behalf of Reed Industrial Minerals.

The mine and associated infrastructure being constructed will facilitate the crushing, processing and transportation of spodumene (lithium) from the Mt Marion mine for subsequent export.

The scope of works of the Project includes design, development of the dry plant, dense media separation (DMS) circuit and the non-process infrastructure associated with the new lithium plant. Some of the key aspects of the works are summarised below:

  • Mine site access and road train haul roads
  • Stock yards and truck load out facility
  • Primary and secondary dry crushing
  • HME/boiler workshop refurbishment works
  • DMS wet plant processing
  • Bore line construction, pumps and water supply turkey nests
  • Fuel storage and diesel power generation
  • Administration building
  • Laboratory
  • LNG storage and LNG power generation
  • Magazine and AN storage facility

Rio Tinto Iron Ore's Nammuldi Project NP2

Rio Tinto Iron Ore's Nammuldi Incremental Tonnes Phase II Project (NP2) is located in the Pilbara region of Western Australia, approximately 70km north-west of Tom Price.

The NP2 Project will expand the existing 25Mpta wet processing plant to 50Mpta capacity.

The scope of works for the contract includes the project management; design, supply, procurement, delivery to site, construction, commissioning and testing and handover of the plant; and training the client's personnel in the operation of the plant. Some of the key aspects of the works are summarised below:

  • Two complete wet plant modules comprising scalping, scrubbing and screening
  • New feed conveyors into the new wet plant modules
  • Duplication of the existing classification plant, complete with cyclone separation, thickener, flocculant storage tank, process water tank, emergency back-up diesel generator and required pumping facilities
  • Installation of a new tails discharge line, complete with duty / standby tails pumps
  • New HV and LV substations and associated transformers, including a new fully rated 33kV ring-main

Carina Iron Ore Project Development
Mineral Resources Limited

CSI Constructionl completed the Engineering, Procurement and Construction of the 10mtpa Carina Iron Ore Project Development Project for Mineral Resources Limited.

The scope of woks for this Greenfield project was extensive and covered the complete service offering that compliments the design and construction skill set within the business. The project delivered First Ore on Train in record time.

Key aspects of the works undertaken by CSI Construction include:

  • 10mtpa Lump and Fine crushing facility
  • Lump and Fines Stockyard c/w 1500tph Travelling /Luffing product stackers.
  • Automated Train Load out (TLO) System complete with 4500tph Reclaimer and Automated Train Load out bin.
  • 7km Balloon rail loop integrated with the Brookfield Network complete with automated weigh cells.
  • All NPI located within the Southern Operations.

Jackson 4 (J4) – Haul Road and Mine Infrastructure Project
Mineral Resources Limited

The J4 Haul Road and Mine Infrastructure Project is located in the Yilgarn region of Western Australia, approximately 100km north east of Koolyanobbing, and was completed by CSI Construction on behalf of Mineral Resources Limited.

The infrastructure being constructed will facilitate the safe and cost effective transportation by road of iron ore from the J4 ore body to the central Carina crushing, stockpiling and train load out hub.

The scope of works for this project includes design, supply and construction of the 74.8km haul road and all supporting non-process mine infrastructure, with the following key aspects:

  • Mine site access and 74.8km road train haul road
  • Mine site non-process infrastructure
  • Administration, emergency management office and workshop areas for the new J4 mine site
  • Bore line construction, pumps and water supply turkey nests
  • Power generation
  • Magazine and AN storage facility 
  • Camp facilities, upgrades and infrastructure
  • Communications towers, microwave links and infrastructure
